Children’s Outreach

Morley Library is dedicated to providing the services of the library to all, especially to groups who may otherwise be unable to visit the library in person. Morley Library has a full-time Children's Services Outreach Assistant who provides our community outreach services.

For Teachers and Educators: The Morley Library Educator Card

Did you know that we have a Library Card especially for educators designed to help teachers and other educators make full use of the library's resources without having to worry about overdue fines. This card is available to anyone who is a qualified Teacher, Home School Educator, Certified Day Care Giver or students presently attending higher education in this field. Outreach To Daycares & Preschools

In an effort to expose young children to books and storytime at a very early age, the Morley Library Children's Room offers outreach services to daycare centers and preschools located in the Morley Library service area. We can visit your location to promote books, reading, and libraries through a fun-filled 30 minute storytime. We bring everything we need with us, including books, flannel board stories, music & speakers, instruments like shakey eggs and rhythm sticks, colorful scarves, etc., as well as information about library events and programs to send home to parents.

Outreach To Elementary Schools

Let us come to your school! Morley Library is committed to working with local schools to promote books, reading, and libraries. We’ll be happy to introduce students and teachers to hot new books, present a storytime, provide library training, participate in school literacy events, and more! Just let us know what you need. Schools must be located in the Morley Library service area. 

Tours

Bring your class or group and see what the library has to offer! The Children's Room will schedule a tour for your group and customize it to your needs. We can do a storytime, teach you how to use the computer catalog, or give you a tour of our entire facility via scavenger hunt…it’s up to you! Tours are available on a first come, first served basis and vary depending on scheduling.
