Morley Library has a special collection on the second floor to help those interested in researching family genealogy and local history.
Our Genealogy and Local History room is open to the public for drop-in, independent use during regular library hours. We DO NOT have genealogical or local history researchers on our staff.
Please note that advance appointments are strongly encouraged if you need assistance with using the microfilm viewer or would like a brief tour of the room. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing the reference department at genealogy@morleylibrary.org
If you are requesting an obituary, please send it to the above email address and include the name, date of death, or date of publication in which it appeared as our obituaries are indexed. Please limit each request to 5 obituaries per email. If you are requesting a newspaper article on a particular topic, please provide an exact date of publication as these are not indexed and are not searchable by topic.
**Please be advised that staffing is part-time only, so replies to requests may take up to a 3 - 5 business days. We will complete your request as soon as we are able in the order in which it was received in the queue. Thank you for your understanding.
