We welcome patrons of all ages and all walks of life who come to borrow items, get info and training from library staff, attend programs, use the public PCs, and more.

Library card holders borrowed physical books, DVDs & CDs as well as digital media, magazines, videogames & board games, hotspots, and equipment from our Library of Things.
1,109 Programs Offered
Library staff coordinated and/or presented over a thousand programs for children, teens, & adults, including storytimes, author talks, crafting, gaming, and outreach programs.
25,129 attendees enjoyed library programming throughout the year, including book clubs, early literacy activities, speakers, movies, teas, arts & crafts, and outreach events.
Our free wifi was accessed 43,461 times.
Library staff took 705 outreach programs to over 25 sites including preschools & K-12 schools, senior living, Lake County YMCA, Project Hope, Concord Community Center, and Forbes House.
Our public PCs were used 17,084 times.
Library staff answered over 59,000 reference questions in person and by phone.
17,859 community members have a Morley Library card, including 1,800 new library card registrations in 2025.
2025 Highlights
Our popular Library of Things circulating collection continued growing with the addition of passes to Holden Arboretum & the Cleveland Botanical Garden, a telescope, two electricity usage monitors, ghost-hunting kits, and additional tools & kitchen equipment.
Library staff and the Board of Trustees continued the planning process for facility upgrades.
With the support of the Friends of Morley Library, we obtained a license for 100 online views of the 2025 documentary film The Librarians, followed by a discussion at the library. 81 users viewed the film, which examines how librarians across the U.S. are addressing restrictions on library content and defending First Amendment rights.
A total of 1,061 readers of all ages participated in the library’s Winter and Summer Reading programs, tracking their reading progress for chances to win fun prizes.
We participated in community events including Painesville City’s 225th Birthday Party, Lake County Pride Festival, Back to School Bash, Painesville City’s Fall Fest, Lake County YMCA Trunk or Treat, the Lake County Fair, Painesville Farmers’ Market, and the Lake County Free Clinic Health Fair.
Our staff collaborated with local organizations including Project Hope, Forbes House, the Lake Humane Society, Signature Health, Holden Forests & Gardens, the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Lake Erie College, and Lake Metroparks.
Our Homebound Services team delivered over 2,000 library materials to 22 patrons.
