Death Records
Deaths were not recorded in the State of Ohio before 1867. From 1867-1908 deaths were noted by the County Probate Court; however, this file is not complete.
Morley Library has the Lake County Probate Court Births/Deaths on micro-film. From December 1908 death records are maintained by the County Bureau of Vital Statistic.
The Ohio Historical Society has an online Ohio Death Certificate Index, 1913-1944 AND 1954-1963.
