Children’s Winter Reading Weekly Art Challenge

Join our Winter Reading Program (WRP) Art Challenge, running January 10–February 14, 2026! Each week features a new winter-themed art prompt. Can you create something for every challenge?

Weekly Prompts

  • Week 1: Snowflake

  • Week 2: Penguin

  • Week 3: Cardinal

  • Week 4: Icicles

  • Week 5: Winter Trees

Use any materials you have at home—draw, paint, collage, sculpt with clay, or try something new. Let your creativity shine!

Participants who complete the challenge will earn a Winter Reading Challenge Badge and help us “warm up” the Children’s Department by bringing in their artwork to be proudly displayed on the children’s floor.
