Teen Programs 2018

Happy New Year!!  These programs are for teens in grades 7 - 12.  Register online by clicking on the program date and completing the registration form.  Teens may also register for programs at the Reference Desk on the 3rd floor, or call Morley Library at 440-352-3383.

January Programs

Teen Winter Reading Olympics

Sunday, January 7 -  Saturday, February 17 at the Reference Desk

The 2018 Winter Olympic games in PyeongChang, South Korea are just around the corner, so we are encouraging you to go for the Gold!  Read at least five books in six weeks to win the gold medal!  Read three books for silver, and one book to receive the bronze medal.  Everyone who medals will win a free book and your choice of a gift card for one of the following:  Amazon, Target, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Chipotle, GameStop, iTunes, or Google Play.  For more information and to register, Teens can stop by the Reference Desk any time during this six week event.  

Giant Teen Gaming Night

Tuesday, January 30 ~ 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Meeting Rooms A & B

You've fallen down the rabbit hole!  Tonight we play all the traditional games  --  supersize style!  You can play a life-sized game of Sorry, giant Jenga, or a ginormous game of Uno.  Bring friends and prepare to have fun!  The snacks will be normal-sized, but tasty.

Teen Valentine's/Un-Valentine's Day Craft

Friday, February 9 - Friday, February 16 in the Teen Corner

Drop by the Teen Corner to make a Valentine's or UnValentine's Day craft, depending on your mood.  It's your choice.  :) 
No Registration required.

Teen & Tween Escape Room:  Antidote!

Tuesday, February 13 ~ 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Basement Meeting Rooms A & B

You have been exposed to a deadly virus and must find the antidote! Tweens and teens must work together to ensure that the virus does not spread outside of the library walls. If you love puzzles, working as a team, and a challenge, this is the program for you! This program is for children age 10-17 years.
Registration is required and will begin on January 2, 2018. 

Teen Board Game Night

Tuesday, February 27 ~ 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Activity Room

Tonight we are going old school and pulling out the board games like Clue, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, and Apples to Apples.  Depending on the size of our group we can play multiple games.  This is a great way to relax, hang out with friends, meet new people, and unplug from technology.  We'll also have snacks.
Registration is optional. 

March Programs

Teen Movie Night Thor:  Ragnarok

Tuesday, March 6 ~ 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.  in the Basement Meeting Rooms A & B

Join us as we watch Thor and the Hulk battle gladiator style!  We'll have pizza & popcorn, so bring friends.  :)

Felting for Teens

Tuesday, March 13 ~ 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Activity Room

Try this fiber arts craft using wool and a needle to create animals and other 3-D sculptures.
Registration is required. 

Teen Gaming Night

Tuesday, March 27 ~ 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Basement Meeting Rooms

Take your pick of games to play on the PS4 or challenge your friends in Scrabble or Clue!  We'll have many games to choose, and pizza too.  Bring friends!
