Build a Better World Teen Summer Reading Club
Tuesday, May 30 - Friday July 21, 2017

Register at the Reference Desk for our Build a Better World Teen Summer Reading Club! You can win prizes and have fun as we focus on activities to improve our community. This 8 week program is open to all teens in grades 7-12.  You may read or listen to books of any genre including graphic novels, fiction, and nonfiction.  If you have a required summer reading book for school, that counts too!

Teen Gaming Night & Summer Reading Kickoff Party!

Join us for gaming and register for the Teen Summer Reading Club too.  We have all sorts of games for the PS4 like Rocket League, Guitar Hero, and Madden NFL 17.  We'll also be starting an indoor garden this summer on the 3rd floor in our "Grow-tunda".  Tonight you can choose your own seeds to plant and tend all summer.  If you miss this program, we'll have gardening materials available in the 3rd floor Activity Room all summer.  Stop by and plant some seeds!

No registration needed.

Book Bingo

Pick up your BINGO sheet at the Reference Desk and start reading!  You have many options to win BINGO as long as you complete (read) five books of your choice in a row --- across, down, or diagonally.  Place your BINGO sheet in the Teen Reading Can to enter a drawing.  You might win a $10 Google Play gift card and the box set of Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan.

Build a Little Free Library

Little Free Libraries are small, waterproof houses for free books, and are usually found in a community's park or neighborhood.  If you see a book you'd like to read, take it. When you're done, put it back, or donate a new one!  It's a simple approach to a book exchange, and helps to make our world a little brighter.  If you're looking for a positive way to get involved in your community then join us as we build our own Little Free Library.
