After the Winter Storytime Session ends on Friday, February 22nd, we will take a short 2 week storytime break. The 7-week Spring Storytime Session will start on Monday, March 11th.

During the Storytime Break, join us for:

Toddler Playtime

Ready, set, play! Join caregivers and children ages 3 and under for a fun open playtime in the Story Room. We provide the toys, you provide the play! Your child will enjoy playing with toys designed to help reach developmental milestones. Caregivers must stay with children in the Story Room. No registration needed.

Spring Storytime Schedule:

The Spring Storytime Session runs for 7 weeks: Monday, March 11th through Friday, April 26th, 2019. Click on the times below to register for a storytime starting Monday, March 4th, or call us at 440-352-3383. Select the storytime on the Library Calendar for registration prompt. Many of our storytimes are drop-in and require no registration. 

Toddler Tales:

For children 3 years old and younger. Child attends with caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and flannelboards especially for little ones. Help children develop a life-long love of reading and the Library. Spring storytime session runs for 7 weeks. 

No registration needed.

Mondays with Miss Andi 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Baby Bookworms:

For babies who are not yet walking and their caregivers. Enjoy one-on-one lap time engaging in stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and more. 20 minutes of stories, songs, etc. followed by 10 minutes of playtime and caregiver interaction. Spring storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

No registration needed.

Tuesdays with Miss Andi 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Books at Bedtime:

For children 18 months through 5 years. Child attends with caregiver. Join us for a bedtime storytime! Kids can wear their PJs and cuddle with a stuffed animal. Stories, songs, a flannelboard and a craft are included. Spring storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

No registration needed.

Mondays with Miss Joya 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Hora de Cuentos:

Para niños de 4 a 8 años.  Canciones, rimas, juegos e historias con un enfoque al lenguaje español y las culturas hispanas.  Los niños asisten sin los acompañantes, pero al final los ayudarán con una pequeña artesanía. No se necesita matriculación.

For children ages  4-8.  Songs, rhymes, games and stories with a focus on the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.  Children attend without caregivers, but caregiver helps with a small craft at the end. No registration needed. 

Wednesdays with Miss Andi 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Music in Motion: 

For children 2 through 5 years. Child attends with caregiver. The focus of Music in Motion is stories, rhythm & music, and it is geared towards active children! Spring storytime session runs for 7 weeks.

No registration needed.

Wednesdays with Miss Amber 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Preschool/Kindergarten Storytime:

For children 3 years to 6 years. Child attends without a caregiver, but the caregiver helps with the craft at the end. Join us for a storytime with a special focus on early literacy skills. Stories, songs, a flannelboard, and a craft are included. Spring storytime session runs for 7 weeks. Please choose either Wednesday OR Thursday, but not both. This is the same storytime offered on different days to accommodate caregiver schedules.

Parachute Playtime!

A fun-filled 30 minute parachute playtime for walking toddlers through 5 years old. Child attends with caregiver. Music, rhymes, games, and lots of fun shakin' the 'chute!

Thursdays with Miss Andi 11:00 - 11:30 AM

Preschool S.T.E.A.M. Stations

Explore various activities that will build your child’s early literacy skills. This drop-in program is designed for children ages 2-6 and their caregivers and takes place in the Project Room on the Children's Floor. Discover how everyday household items can become learning tools for your child. Preschool S.T.E.A.M. Stations are held Wednesday one week and Thursday the following week for the entire Spring Storytime Session.

No registration needed. Spring dates are March 13th, March 21st, March 27th, April 4th, April 10th, April 18th, and April 24th

Stories & S.T.E.A.M:

Kids ages 6-8 can explore stories and more with science, technology, engineering, art, and math in this fun after-school program. Caregiver must stay in the building but does not attend with the child. The Spring session runs for 7 weeks.

Fridays with Miss Dana 4:15 - 5:00 PM

March 15—Rainbows

Why do we see rainbows? We will answer this and then use science techniques to see and make some of our own rainbows.

March 22 — Weather 
What changes our weather? We will look in to why some days are hot and humid while others are cold and rainy.

March 29 — Sticky Science
What makes things stick? We will learn about the science behind different things that stick and of course make slime!

April 5 — Architecture
Do you like building things? We’ll learn about blueprints and try to make our own bridges and buildings out of common items.

April 12– Blooming Biology
Where had all the flowers gone and why are they back? We will explore how things grow and bloom and kids will get a seed to take home to care for. 

April 19 — Eggciting Science
Can an egg bounce? We will try to build a structure to keep an egg from breaking, bounce an egg and dye an egg to take home for Easter.

April 26 — Static
Have you ever shocked someone when you touch them? We are going to do multiple static electricity experiments today!
