Children's Room Programs

Registration for all programs that require advance sign-up will open two weeks before the program date. Many of our programs and events do not require registration, however, due to space and limited supplies, some do require advance registration in order to attend. Please note the opening registration date for each program. On or after the date that registration opens, you can register online by clicking on the program, register by phone at 440-352-3383, or register in person at the Children's Desk.

Dinosaur Dig

For families with children 12 and under. Join Miss Robin in the Story Room on her journey to find dinosaurs!  We will read books about dinosaurs, make a craft, and even create our own dinosaur fossils!  It will be a T-riffic time!

Let’s Make a Puppet Theater!

Monday, February 27

Calling all kids in grades K-3rd!  Let’s use our imaginations to create a one-of-a-kind mini puppet theater! We will also make some puppets to use inside our theaters.  Please bring a paint shirt as we will be painting.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Saturday, March 4

For kids grades K-3rd. Join us as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We will read Dr. Seuss books, make a Dr. Seuss inspired craft, and play Dr. Seuss themed games. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Teddy Bear Picnic

For families with children 12 and under. Bring your favorite stuffed bear to the Story Room for a Teddy Bear Picnic!  Your bear will join you for stories, songs, a craft and a snack, all related to bears.   It will be Beary fun!

Registration opens for Spring weekly storytimes, Stories & S.T.E.A.M., and N B TWEEN. The Spring Storytime session starts Monday, March 20th and runs for 7 weeks through Friday, April 5th. Register online, in person, or by phone at 440-352-3383.

Morley Library is excited to welcome award-winning Cleveland magician David Anthony for a fun, family-friendly magic show! This show will be jam-packed with laughter, fun, excitement, and tons of audience participation.

Spy Kids!

Saturday, April 1

For kids grades K-3rd. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to attend Spy Kids! Listen to stories about spies, make an invisible ink craft, and play fun spy games. This message will self-destruct in 30 seconds.

Registration is required and will open 2 weeks before the program on Saturday, March 18th.

Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R.)!

For families with children ages 12 and under. DROP whatever it is you are doing and come join Miss Robin in the Story Room! Listen to stories and read some together as a family in celebration of National Drop Everything And Read Day.

Under the Sea

For kids grades K-3rd. Come take a journey into the deep blue sea. Learn about sea creatures, play a fun game, and make a craft. It will be a splashing good time!

Paws 2 Read

Saturday, April 15

Bark all about it, Paws 2 Read is back! Paws 2 Read is a program that encourages readers of all abilities to relax and read in a comforting environment with a friendly, certified therapy dog for 20 minutes.

Registration is necessary and opens two weeks before the program on Saturday, April 1st. To register, please call the Children's Room at 440-352-3383 to choose a dog. Online registration is not available for this program.

A Celebration of Leo Lionni

Saturday, May 6

For families with children ages 12 and under. Celebrate Leo Lionni--the first children's author/illustrator to use mixed media collage as the main source for his illustrations. Listen to some of Leo Lionni's well known stories, and watch them transformed on the big screen during this family script-to-screen program.

Mother's Day Tea Party

For kids grades K-3rd. You're invited to a special Mother's Day Tea Party! Celebrate mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or any special woman in your child's life with stories, a fun craft, and a variety of tasty treats! This is a child & caregiver program, so the caregiver stays for the entire program.
