Digital Art Show & Contest

digitally manipulate  one of the three provided pictures.  This will be an "at home" project.

You will then turn in your finished image for the show/contest.  The pictures will be posted in the library.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.  These winners will receive $25, $15, and $10.

Dates & Times

Pictures will be due by 6:00pm on Friday, July 18th.

Judging will take place the week of July 21st-26th.

Full rules & restrictions:

Photo entries are for a general audience, and will be displayed in a public library.  Therefore, they must be non-offensive.  The librarian has sole discretion over what will and will not be allowed for public display.

Artwork must contain the base image, but it does not have to be the main focus of the piece.

Artwork should be no larger than 8"x10" and matted to no larger than 14"x16".  Matting is not required.

Artwork may be black & white or color.

Artwork must be manipulated in some way using a photo-editing program.

Artwork must be created by teens in the library Summer Reading program.  Name, age, school & phone number must be included with the entry.

Artwork must be turned in by Friday, July 19th and will be displayed until the end of August.

Winners will be judged on originality & creativity.  Judging will take place the week of 7/21.  Winners will be notified by phone.

The following will disqualify your artwork:
1. Controversial/illegal topics - no porn, hate crime, graphic injury or obscene gestures.
2. Copyrighted images cannot be included.
3. No children in photo without a photo release.
